Dr. Arun Naik is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon with a specialization in colorectal surgery at both Gold Coast University Hospital and Gold Coast Private Hospital. He has earned a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Australia and further honed his expertise with a fellowship in colorectal surgery at Gold Coast University Hospital. Subsequently, Dr. Naik completed an additional fellowship focused on lower gastrointestinal cancer surgery at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Australia’s leading cancer institution within the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Melbourne, where he also gained valuable experience in robotic surgery.
Dr. Arun Naik holds a Master’s in Surgery and has completed advanced training, including a Doctoral degree (MCh, Magister Chirurgiae) in Surgical Oncology. Through this advanced training, he gained extensive experience in colorectal surgery, particularly for lower gastrointestinal and pelvic malignancies. His primary clinical focus is on colorectal cancers, where Dr. Arun Naik combines his advanced surgical skills with a commitment to optimal patient outcomes. He is trained to perform both laparoscopic and robotic surgery for colorectal procedures.
Dr. Arun Naik has extensive experience in training medical students, surgical trainees, and colorectal surgery fellows, which significantly contributes to the development of future surgeons. His expertise in colorectal surgery is highlighted by his delivery of numerous presentations at both national and international conferences, as well as his authorship of multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, Dr. Arun Naik has been actively involved in advancing techniques in robotic surgery.
